This sweepstakes is sponsored by WIVT, NewsChannel34 and WBGH, NBC 5. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.
HOW TO ENTER: No purchase is necessary to enter or win this Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes begins on 5/9/11 and ends on 6/10/11 (the “Entry Period”). Entrants may enter this Sweepstakes by: completing the direct mail piece and mail or hand deliver to WIVT, NewsChannel34, 203 Ingraham Hill Road, Binghamton, NY 13903. Alternate Entry Method: Entrants may also enter on-line at newschannel34.com. One entry per person/household. There is no fee to enter. How to play: sometime between Monday, May 9th and Friday, June 10th during Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy from 7:00pm-8:00pm on WIVT-TV Monday-Friday, the station will announce one entrant’s name. If you see your name on the station, you will have thirty (30) minutes to call the station at 607-771-3434 to win. The announced entrant must call this number within the allotted 30 minutes to be eligible to win.. IF THE ENTRANT FAILS TO CALL WITHIN THE ALLOTTED THIRTY (30) MINUTES, THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN IS FORFEITED AND SUBDEQUENT NAME WILL BE DRAWN.
All entrants will be required to provide their name, address, city, state, zip code phone and e-mail address. All entries become the property of Sponsor, and Sponsor reserves the right to use any information submitted by entrants. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or mutilated entries, including due to technical/network failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.

Entrants agree not to upload, post or transmit any materials which contain any computer viruses, Easter eggs, worms, Trojan Horses or other harmful component or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or personal information. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any person who makes such attempt(s).]
ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of New York and Pennsylvania who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Sponsor and their family members or persons living in the same households of such individuals are not eligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. All federal, state, and local laws apply. Winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility (except where prohibited) affirming his or her agreement to all terms, conditions, and restrictions in these Sweepstakes rules.

Actual retail value may vary. Winner will not receive difference between actual and approximate retail value. The Grand Prize may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash, sold, or traded. No prize transfer, assignment, or substitution by Winner is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.
Winner must accept the Grand Prize as awarded. Each prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any other consideration.
SWEEPSTAKES RANDOM DRAWING: Sponsor will select 1 Grand Prize Winner and 3 second prize winners from among all eligible entries by random drawing. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. The person selected as the winner of a prize (“Winner”) will be notified by Telephone. If any attempted notification is not successful within 30 days, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsor reserves the right to randomly select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries.
CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS APPLY: Winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. Upon request from Sponsor, entrants must promptly furnish proof of legal U.S. residency, legal age, and eligibility to enter the Sweepstakes. An entrant’s failure promptly to comply with such a request will result in the entrant’s disqualification. Winner is subject to verification by Sponsor, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until entrant’s eligibility has been verified and entrant has been notified that verification is complete. In the event that a winner is determined to be ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsor reserves the right to randomly select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries. In the event that a winner is determined to be ineligible or fails to respond to Sponsor within five (5) days of Sponsor’s first attempted notification, the Prize will be forfeited and Sponsor reserves the right to randomly select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries. Sponsor reserves the right to terminate the Sweepstakes without awarding the Grand Prize if no eligible winner or alternate winner claims the prize within the required time period.
Winner will be required to execute and return to Sponsor a liability release and affidavit of eligibility without modification (except where prohibited) within 30 days of notice of winning. In the event that Winner fails to execute and return a liability release and affidavit of eligibility (except where prohibited) within 30 days of notice of winning, or in the event that Winner returns the release and affidavit form with modifications, Winner’s prize may be forfeited and Sponsor may randomly select an alternate winner from among the remaining eligible entries.
Winner will be solely responsible for any and all local, state, and federal taxes. Sponsor will report any individual winnings over $100 (in cash or fair market value of goods or services) in a one-year period to the Internal Revenue Service. Winner will receive a Form 1099 from Sponsor if Sponsor report any winnings to the Internal Revenue Service.
Winner agrees to the use of his/her name and/or likeness in further promotional materials and press releases by Sponsor without any additional compensation (except where prohibited). By entering this Sweepstakes, Winner agrees that Sponsor has the right without notice or further compensation to publicize, by any medium, Winner’s name, voice, image, and likeness, the fact that Winner won, and all matters incidental thereto. Winner agrees to execute any additional liability or publicity release agreements requested by Sponsor.
LIMITATION ON LIABILITY: Sponsor will not be responsible for lost, late, damaged, defaced, incomplete, stolen, illegible, indiscernible, mutilated, illegally obtained, postage due or misdirected entries or for any typographical, or other error in the printing of the offer, or misdirected email, mailbox functionality, unintelligible text or other miscommunications of any kind, or administration of the Sweepstakes, or announcement of the prizes and/or all Sweepstakes-related materials. By entering this Sweepstakes, each entrant forever discharges, releases, and holds harmless Sponsor, and each of its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and each of [its/their] respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, losses, damages, causes of action, suits, and demands of any kind arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, responsibility for property damage, loss of life, or personal injury resulting from or in connection with participating in the Sweepstakes or from or in connection with use or receipt of the Grand Prize, however caused.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By participating in the Sweepstakes, each participant waives any and all claims of liability against Sponsor and its affiliates, employees and agents for any personal injury or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the Sweepstakes, or from the use of any prize.
SPONSOR’S RESERVATION OF RIGHTS: These Official Rules are subject to modification by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by Sponsor are final and binding. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person who tampers with or abuses the entry process, or who otherwise acts in violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, or modify this Sweepstakes if, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of completion as planned, including due to force majeure or non-authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes.
WINNER LIST: For the name of Winner, after 6/10/11 send written request identifying this promotion as Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy Watch and Win and a self-addressed stamped envelope to: WIVT, NewsChannel34, 203 Ingraham Hill Road, Binghamton, NY 13903. Requests received more than sixty (60) days after 6/10/11 will not be honored.
