Backyard Grilling Has Returned!!

Greek Turkey Burger
SERVES 4
ACTIVE TIME: 30 min
TOTAL TIME: 30 min
1 lb Fresh 94% Lean Ground Turkey
1 cup firmly packed baby spinach (1 oz), chopped (bulk)
1 Tbsp Italian Classics Seasoned Bread Crumbs
1 1/2 oz Wegmans Crumbled Feta, about 1/2 cup (Cheese Shop)
1/4 tsp McCormick Oregano Leaves
1/2 tsp Wegmans Cracked Pepper Blend
1 tsp Wegmans Pure Olive Oil
4 Tbsp roasted red pepper hummus (Mediterranean Bar), divided
4 leaves red leaf lettuce
1 small cucumber, cut into 12 thin slices
4 Food You Feel Good About 100% Whole Wheat Pitas, slit horizontally
Preheat grill on HIGH 10 min.
1. Combine ground turkey, baby spinach, bread crumbs, feta, oregano, cracked pepper, and olive oil in mixing bowl. Form into 4 burgers.
2. Clean grill with wire brush. Using soft cloth, coat grill grate lightly with vegetable oil. Place burgers on grill. Reduce heat to MEDIUM.
3. Sear burgers on grill 2 min, until they have changed color about one-quarter of way up from bottom. Turn over; sear 2-3 min. Turn again; reduce heat to MEDIUM or LOW. Close lid.
4. Cook about 10 min until internal temp reaches 165 degrees (check by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of burgers). Transfer to clean platter; set aside.
5. Top each burger with 1 Tbsp red pepper hummus, red leaf lettuce, and 3 slices thinly sliced cucumber. Place in pitas.
Option(s):
Tzatziki makes a nice addition to these burgers.

Heirloom Tomato & Cucumber Salad
SERVES 4
ACTIVE TIME: 10 min
TOTAL TIME: 10 min
1 lb seedless cucumber, sliced very thinly (about 3 cups)
1 lb heirloom tomatoes, sliced thinly (about 3 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup Wegmans Classic Mayonnaise
Juice of 1/2 lemon (1-2 Tbsp)
1 tsp Wegmans Fleur de Sel
1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
1. Combine cucumbers and tomatoes in large bowl. Add mayonnaise, lemon juice, Fleur de Sel, and black pepper. Gently toss.
2. Transfer to serving platter; season to taste with additional Fleur de Sel and black pepper.
