Binghamton and Vestal High Schools to Complete Student Exchange

From Vestal Central Schools:

Vestal High’s student government members are pleased to take their turn hosting members of Binghamton High School Student Government on Thursday, March 21. The visiting BHS students will spend the day in Vestal, taking classes, going to lunch and touring the Vestal High School campus as the second half of a student exchange that began on February 13 at Binghamton High School.

The exchange, organized by the BHS Student Government, is intended to promote a positive relationship and to foster a spirit of good will between the two local schools. VHS Student Government President Anna McCarthy, when contacted by BHS Student Government President Gerald Eggleston suggesting the exchange, said she thought it was a great opportunity to dispel some of the stereotypes both schools face as athletic rivals.

Both schools hope to make this exchange an annual event.
