Bingo and Books at SV's FP Donnelly Elementary

Calling all bingo and book lovers! Susquehanna Valley's Francis P. Donnelly Elementary School PTA is hosting its first annual Family Bingo Night and Scholastic Book Fair, Thursday, March 7, 2013, 6:00-8:00 p.m. This is a community event so everyone is welcome to attend and support our fantastic kids. Bingo cards will be sold for $3 per board or 2 for $5. Prizes include donations from area businesses, gift certificates for the Scholastic Book Fair, SV Sabers gear, etc. Bring your appetite too, as we will have food available for purchase.

This year's book fair theme is Story Laboratory: Reading Gives You Super Power! Giving kids access to good books and the opportunity to choose their own books will motivate them to read more. The book fair runs through Friday, March 8. Kids will have an opportunity to preview the book fair during the day March 7 and bring home a wish list for parents. Parents can send money to school in an envelope with their child and school personnel will help them purchase the books Friday morning. You may also order online at www.scholastic.com/bookfairs through March 15, 2013 with all orders counting toward our total sales. Our school gets 50% of all sales toward books for our students. Our Scholastic dollars have enabled us to purchase many books for our classrooms, library and students, including a free book for every child during PARP week this year! The book fair is open to the community and will be open at 4:00 March 7 for anyone who is unable to attend the evening Bingo event. Bring your families and join us for a fun night of Bingo, books and food! Space and Bingo cards are limited. Doors open for Bingo at 5:30.
