Children’s Author and Poet to hold Evening Event at Port Dickinson Elementary

From Chenango Valley Central Schools:

Kenn Newbitt, a writer of humorous poetry for children, will visit Port Dickinson Elementary School tomorrow evening, Tuesday, March 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the school at 770 Chenango Street.
Mr. Nesbitt has written several poetry collections for children, including My Hippo Has the Hiccups and Revenge of the Lunch Ladies. His poems also appear in numerous anthologies of humorous poetry for children. His poetry often includes imagery of outrageous happenings before ending on a realistic note. He has also created an online “Funny Poetry Playground” at Poetry4kids.com that features funny poems, lessons, games and poetry-related activities.
He currently lives in Spokane, Washington with his wife and children.
His visit is sponsored by the Port Dickinson Elementary School PTA.
