Daily DRP (Deficit Reduction Plan) Did You Know -- #7 – AIM Funding


Did you know that even after implementing Governor Paterson’s proposed Deficit Reduction Plan, recommended funding for the Aid and Incentives for Municipalities (AIM) program of $766 million would still represent an increase of 65 percent or $300 million compared to 2004-05? That’s an average annual increase of more than 10 percent in AIM funding for local governments.
