Davis College to Host Third Annual Community Christmas Celebration:

Andrew's Good News Christmas Party will take place December 12, 2009

JOHNSON CITY, NY (November 2, 2009)- Davis college will host the third annual Andrew's Good News Ministries in coordination with a number of Greater Binghamton churches. The Christmas Party is an opportunity for families in our community to hear about the reason for the Christmas season, the birth of Jesus Christ. There will be free food and beverages, entertainment, activities and photos for all ages. Free transportation will be provided from participating churches in Greater Binghamton including the cities of Owego, Harpursville, Greene, Endicott, Johnson City, and Binghamton.

Entertainment will be provided by a variety of local Christian artists including, Scapegoat, Cross Fire, Audience of One, the Owego First Church of the Nazarene Choir, Flo'lis, Mended, On Our Way Home, Crossroads Choir, and Three Crosses Bare. The gospel message will be shared by a number of speakers including Dr Dino J. Pedrone, President of Davis College. Dr. Pedrone states, "Events like the Andrew's Good News Christmas Party are a wonderful way to share the Good News of the Gospel with our community and encourage people that there is hope, especially during a difficult economy. Our College welcomes the opportunity to partner with ministries and churches for this special event. Students, faculty, and staff will be volunteering with our community friends and we look forward to welcoming guests to campus." Last year's event saw over 3,000 guests on campus and event organizers anticipate a similar response to this year's celebration.

Spokesperson for Andrew's Good News Ministries and event coordinator Keli Cooper says, "The Christmas Party brings together churches and ministries working to encourage our community at this special time of year. Just as local churches came together for the Franklin Graham Festival in 2007, we are thrilled to see the partnership of churches with Andrew's Good News Ministries and Davis College for a great cause- celebrating Christmas and sharing the Good News of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ." Cooper added that all are welcome. Complete details, bus stop locations, and registration information are available at www.andrewsgoodnewschristmasparty.com.
