ROBBERY ARREST

Endicott, New York Date of Release December 24, 2009

The Endicott Police Department with the assistance of the New York State Police and tips from numerous citizens have arrested 24 year old Zachariah M. Burns of 46 W. Main St., Bainbridge NY, for the strong arm robbery that occurred at the CVS Pharmacy at 1001 North St., Endicott on Monday December 21, 2009 at 1:19 p.m. Burns is accused of forcibly stealing a bag of recently purchased prescription drugs from the victim as he exited the store. Burns then fled in a 2003 black Mitsubishi Eclipse owned by a relative. The vehicle was located in Nineveh, NY and a search warrant was executed on the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle has not been charged at this time in connection with the robbery.

The Endicott Police would like to thank all of the citizens that called in with information regarding the robbery and the identity of the suspects involved.

One count of Robbery in the third degree, a class D Felony.
