From Clean Green Music:

Delhi’s 3rd annual Parade Day will include a very special performance by locally-born Americana rock / Alt country stand-outs, Esquela, at The Shire Pub, 123 Main Street, this Saturday. Showtime is 5pm, and there is no admission fee.

Esquela’s performance will include band co-founder, and co-writer, guitarist Keith Christopher, making Saturday an even-more-special occasion, as Christopher is most often touring internationally with his other project, Homemade Sin (with Georgia Satellites’ front-man, Dan Baird), of late. An acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, Christopher has worked with the likes of Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Billy Joe Shaver, Todd Snyder, and Paul Westerberg, to name a few, and has written for the legendary Ray Charles, over the course of his storied career.

Christopher will be joined on Saturday’s performance by Esquela co-writer, and front-man, John “Chico” Finn (bass), as well as heralded vocalist Rebecca Frame, and notable lead guitarist Brian Shafer. Fellow Esquela members Matt Woodin (guitar, mandolin), Ira McIntosh (guitar/vocals), and Todd Russell (drums/vocals), will complete the band’s big line-up at The Shire Pub.

Esquela has recently completed their new album, ‘Are We Rolling?,’ which was recorded, mixed, and produced by Grammy-awarded Eric “Roscoe” Ambel. The new album follows Esquela’s highly-regarded freshman effort, ‘The Owl Has Landed,’ which yielded strong reviews and international airplay. The CD release event for ‘Are We Rolling?’ is scheduled for June 20 at NYC’s famous Bowery Electric venue. The band will begin its ‘Are We Rolling?’ campaign with a music video for the album’s first single, “No Questions,” by videographer Grant Burkhalter, which is scheduled to hit the internet in early April. While completing the new album, Esquela has recently shared the stage with Bloodshot Records recording artists Deadstring Brothers, and Whitey Morgan and the 78s.

The Delhi Parade Day parade will begin on Saturday at noon, and will be immediately followed by a performance by Southern Tier Irish quartet, The Stoutmen, at the Shire Pub, beginning at 1pm. The parade will include a number of floats, and an array of performers and participants, including Irish pipe bands, which will march to The Shire Pub and kick-off the indoor festivities.
