From Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways:

Kimberly Kehr of Walton has recently been accepted to attend a Girl Scout Destination this summer.

Girl Scout Destinations are travel opportunities for girls in sixth through 12th grades. Girls can apply to take part in Destinations that take them to regional destinations, across the country destinations, or international destinations.

Kehr, in 11th grade, will be attending the San Juan Kayak Pack Destination in Anacortes, Washington July 28-August 3. On the Destination, Kehr, along with other Girl Scouts from across the world, will take part in a peaceful journey via kayaks of searching for orcas, island camping and kayaking crystal clear water. Girls will explore their leadership, communication and team building skills working and living together in the outdoors. The girls will sleep under the stars in places only accessible by kayaks. All participants will be involved in a series of problem solving initiatives throughout the time they are together.
