From M-E Schools:

The Maine-Endwell M-EALS program has joined forces with the Feinstein Foundation’s challenge to help fight hunger in our community. The partnership will help maximize the district’s food and monetary donations in March and April.

Any monetary or food donations collected through the M-EALS program from March 1 to April 30 will be eligible for a charitable gift from the foundation. To date, the Feinstien’s annual spring $1 million challenges have raised over $1.5 billion for hunger-fighting charitable organizations. The more food or money raised, the more money will be awarded back to M-EALS, the Maine-Endwell food program which assists district families in need by providing food on weekends and holiday breaks when students are not receiving breakfast and lunch at school.

Community members are asked to help by donating food at any of the district’s schools, or by making a monetary donation to M-EALS. Checks can be made out to “M-EALS and Leadership.” All donations can be sent to Rachel Murat, Maine-Endwell High School, 750 Farm to Market Road, Endwell, NY 13760.

Donations to M-EALS are tax-deductible!

Additional ways to help M-EALS include donating stock to the program, or holding a food drive for the program at your place of business. To make a stock donation, or to organize a M-EALS food drive at your place of business, contact Rachel Murat, 754-1400, or rmurat@me.stier.org.
