From Naturalists’ Club of Broome County:

The Naturalists’ Club monthly meeting will feature guest speaker Tom Salo whose topic will be “What’s Been Eating at the Golden Eagle Feeders?”
Tom Salo will show photographs from 4 seasons of Golden Eagle research in local counties. The project provides information on Golden Eagle’s winter range and population size. A fascinating benefit from this research is the variety of other scavenging species which also visit the sites. Ravens, crows, hawks, coyotes, bobcats and some unexpected surprises were recorded. Part of the presentation will be devoted to interactions between individuals at these sometimes crowded food sources.
Tom Salo is the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society Director and the NYS Coordinator for the Appalachian Eagle Project.
The monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 27 beginning at 7:15pm at the Vestal Public Library, located at 320 Vestal Parkway East in Vestal.
