Riger/BCIDA Awards

The Broome County IDA and Broome County Economic Development have been recognized by the New York State Economic Development Council (NYSEDC) for excellence in promotion and marketing. Best of Class awards were given for a development brochure and video for the Greater Binghamton Modeling and Simulation Coalition. The pieces were designed by Riger Advertising of Binghamton, N.Y. The brochure and video have been widely distributed at I/ITSEC, the world’s largest modeling, simulation & training conference that takes place in Orlando each December.

The Greater Binghamton Modeling and Simulation Coalition is a partnership that includes; Broome County Economic Development, the Broome County IDA, Binghamton University, Broome Community College and area firms including Binghamton Simulator Company, Concurrent, D&R Technical Solutions, Diamond Visionics, L-3 Communications, Link Simulation & Training, Rockwell Collins, RPA Electronic Solutions, Sarnicola Simulation Systems, Inc., Simulation and Control Technologies, Inc., and Virtusphere. The NYSEDC also gave an honorable mention to BCIDA for printed advertising material created by Riger Advertising. The ads appear regularly in national site selection publications including Area Development and Business Facilities Magazines. The awards were presented at the NYSEDC Annual Conference in Cooperstown May 26-28.
