From The Goodwill Theatre:
Fun-filled and hilarious, the DuffleBag Theatre takes you on a merry journey into the enchanting world of “Peter Pan” on Saturday March 23, at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, at the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage. Part of the Goodwill Theatre’s Story Time Series, this classic J.M. Barrie tale about the boy who never grew up is sponsored by Senator Libous’ BOOKS Program, in partnership with Morrisville State College, and Bates-Troy Quality Dry Cleaners.
Revisit the magic and excitement of the familiar story we all know and love, and follow Peter, Wendy, John and Michael through the wonders of Never-Never Land, guided by Tinkerbell, only to come face-to face with the despicable pirate, Captain Hook. Full of wit and humor, onlookers become enthralled with the story and are surprised by the twist as audience members are invited on stage and drawn into the action, becoming part of the story. A comical experience for all ages this unpredictable performance is a truly unique theatrical event.
Suitable for children ages four through 12, and all those young at heart, this production is interactive storytelling theatre at its best! Famous for their off the wall versions of classic fairytales and stories, with over 600 performances across the country each year, the DuffleBag Theatre’s popularity stems from the fun improvisations, whatever the audience cast members do is incorporated into the show. Since the whole audience participates during the show, the results are captivating, magical and fun for all. Adults enjoy the performances just as much as the kids sometimes even more! All Story Time Theatre shows include free hands on activities one hour prior to the performance which complement the story and theme of the program.
The Nearly World Famous DuffleBag Theatre Troupe performed “Beauty and the Beast” for us last year. They are charming and hilarious and we are happy to bring them back,” says CEO Naima Kradjian. “We can’t wait to see how they and the audience will interpret Peter Pan – this should be great fun.”
Performing with the same sense of fun, innovation and participation that the audiences (nearly) the world over have come to expect, the DuffleBag Theatre troupe has 13 different shows they perform in their current repertoire. With shows from fairytales like Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Rumplestiltskin, to classic stories such as Robin Hood, Peter Pan and Dracula, the DuffleBag Theatre puts on incredible shows that won’t soon be forgotten. They also perform Shakespeare adaptations like Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth and holiday-themed shows, such as Rudolph and A Christmas Carol. For more information visit the DuffleBag Theatre at
