On March 14, 2013 in Broome County Court, Thomas J. Lancaster (38) of Binghamton was sentenced to a state prison term of forty years to life in connection with his conviction after trial of Predatory Sexual Assault, Rape First Degree, Aggravated Sexual Abuse First Degree and two counts of Criminal Sexual Act First Degree.

Following a week-long jury trial in November 2012, Lancaster was found guilty of sexually assaulting a thirty-two year-old woman in the Town of Colesville in November 2010 and of sexually assaulting a twenty-one year-old woman in the Town of Windsor in January 2012.

The case was investigated by the New York State Police and prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Sophie A. Jensen.
