From NYS Police:
Members of the New York State Police arrested three people during the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Middletown, Delaware County, seizing cocaine and a shotgun. The arrests stemmed from a three month investigation into the sale of cocaine occurring in Delaware County.
On Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at approximately 7:45 pm, members of the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) and Margaretville barracks executed a search warrant at 104 Frog Alley Road in the Town of Middletown, arresting the residents, Victor M. Perez, age 57, and his wife, Kris Perez, age 45, as well as John D. Gilchrist, age 53, of 2 Olga Drive, Margaretville, New York for possession of cocaine. Gilchrist was located in the driveway of the residence when the search warrant was executed and was found to be in possession of cocaine.
During a search of the residence, troopers seized 46 packets of cocaine with a street value of approximately $2,300 that were packaged for sale, as well as packaging materials, and a 12 gauge shotgun with ammunition.
Victor and Kris Perez were both charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (possession with intent to sell), a Class “B” Felony. They were arraigned in the Town of Middletown Court by the Honorable Town Justice Gary Rosa and remanded to Delaware County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Gilchrist was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a Class “A” Misdemeanor. He was released on an appearance ticket and ordered to appear in the Town of Middletown Court on March 28, 2013.
The investigation is continuing and further charges are pending.
