Vestal Middle School to present “The King and I”

From Vestal Central Schools:

Tickets are now on sale for the Vestal Middle School performance of “The King and I,” presented in conjunction with G2K series, a division of Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization distributed through Hal Leonard Corporation. Show dates and times are 7 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 23, and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, and the performances will be presented in the African Road Auditorium, 600 S. Benita Boulevard.

Dual casts of 100 students total from Vestal Middle and the five district elementary schools will be directed by Rachel Hucko, Vestal Middle School vocal music teacher, with assistance from Kacie Weaver, African Road/VMS vocal music teacher and Matthew Gaska, a Binghamton University theater major. The “Dharma” cast will perform Friday evening and for the Saturday matinee. The “Sangha” cast will be featured in the Saturday evening and Sunday matinee performances. Pre-sale tickets are $6 through March 21 and can be ordered by using the order form found in the Special Announcements’ box on the Vestal Middle School web page, http://www.vestal.stier.org/vestal_middle-school.asp. Order forms are also available in the Vestal Middle School main office, or reserve tickets by emailing vmschorus@gmail.com. Reserved tickets can be picked up at the “will call” table.

Box office hours are 4:45 - 6:15 p.m. on March 18, 2:30 - 6 p.m. on March 19 and 2:30 - 7 p.m. on March 20, in the lobby of the African Road Auditorium. Tickets will also be available for $8 at the door one hour before each show time.
