From Cornell University - Cooperative Extension, Tioga County:
An estimated $196 million dollars is spent in New York each year on tobacco marketing. Youth in Broome and Tioga counties have seen enough and are looking to join other youth across the nation to stand up and speak out in support of National Kick Butts Day.

Debbie Preston, Broome County Executive will be making an opening statement to kick off the event at NOON. The tournament is open to any youth in grades 5th-12th. Trophies and Medals will be awarded for the top 3 teams in each division. Refreshments and raffle prizes will be provided to everyone who attends and teen prevention education activities.
