Youth seek to take on Big Tobacco at the Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the Boys & Girls Club of Binghamton

An estimated $196 million dollars is spent in New York each year on tobacco marketing. Youth in Broome and Tioga counties have seen enough and are looking to join other youth across the nation to stand up and speak out in support of National Kick Butts Day.

On Saturday, March 23rd from 11 AM to 5 PM youth from across Broome and Tioga counties will join hosts Reality Check, Broome-Tioga and the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton for their Annual “Kickin’ Butts 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament” at the Boys and Girls Club in Binghamton. Debbie Preston, Broome County Executive will be making an opening statement to kick off the event at NOON. The tournament is open to any youth in grades 5th-12th. Trophies and Medals will be awarded for the top 3 teams in each division. Refreshments and raffle prizes will be provided to everyone who attends and teen prevention education activities. Registration forms can be picked up at the Boys and Girls club either in Binghamton or Owego. Please call Cara Zampi for more information at 607-687-4020.
