Christmas Bake Sale at Ss. Doug's Fish Fry (to go) AND a Bake Sale will be right here at Maine Memorial (in the parking lot) from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Come on out and support your Maine Memorial PTA, all proceeds will go towards field trips and other school wide events.  We are also having a “books & blanket” basket raffles, all proceeds will go to the Local CHOW pantry here in Maine. The raffle tickets are $1.  The 4 “books & blanket” baskets are designed as follows:  Boy (grade 2 - 5) Girl (grade 2-5) and boy (grade K-2) and girl (grade K - 2). They each contain 8 -10 books with a warm blanket, bookmarker for each of the older boy/girl basket and a stuffed animal for the younger boy/girl basket. The older girl basket also contains a journal.

The St. Petersburg Men's Ensemble will present a concert of sacred songs in English and Russian Folk songs in Russian at the First United Methodist Church  on 53 McKinley Avenue in Endicott.  This concert is FREE and open to the public.  An offering will be taken to defray their costs.

The League of Women Voters of Broome and Tioga Counties will present a program on gas leases and how they effect mortgages at the Endicott Visitor Center on 300 Lincoln Avenue in Endicott. The program will begin at 10 a.m.  Attorney Albert B. Kukol will explain the problem potential real estate buyers may have in getting a loan for a property with a gas lease.

Boy Scout Troop 152 from Kattelville will hold their Annual Christmas Tree Sale along with their monthly Chicken BBQ beginning at 9 a.m., until all trees and chicken are sold. Vestal Teachers Association Holiday Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Vestal High School.  A holiday craft fair featuring hand-crafted items from over 80 vendors.  Sponsor-ed by the Vestal Teachers Association with proceeds benefiting the Vestal Dollars for Scholars program.

JC Flood Relief Indoor Rummage Sale from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2332 on 207 Grand Avenue in Johnson City.  Large variety of useful & unique items.  Bag Sale at 3 p.m.  All proceeds will go directly to families who flooded in Johnson City.  Sponsored by the Johnson City Partners.  *No donations except monetary are currently being accepted due to an overwhelming community response for the previous giveaway.

Special guests this year will be the ‘Southerntiersmen Barbershop Chorus’ of New York State. Brass accompaniment and percussion will be provided by local musicians. David Andre directs the Chorale and Randy Webster serves as accompanist. A freewill offering will benefit local charities.
