Students from 12 area school districts have been chosen to participate in this year’s BROOME COUNTY MUSIC EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION ALL-COUNTY MUSIC FESTIVAL II. Participants in grades 10-12 Jazz Band, 10-12 Orchestra, 5-6 Chorus, and 7-9 Band were chosen based upon audition and teacher recommendation. The festival will take place on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17. Students will rehearse on both days and the festival will close on Saturday, March 17, with a 3 p.m. public performance to be held in the Anderson Center at Binghamton University. The guest conductors for this festival are: 5th and 6th Grade Chorus-Marc Kaplan, 7th-9th Grade Band- Jerry Natoli, 10th-12th Grade Orchestra-William Mercer, Jr. and 10-12 Jazz Band- Bill Tiberio. Tickets are available at the door at the following prices: Adult -$5; Child-$4; Senior-$4; Maximum family cost-$15.
