The Binghamton Boy's basketball team knew they had themselves a challenge Tuesday. In the first round of the Class AA state playoffs, they had the daunting task of facing New Rochelle. A team that won their previous game on an incredible buzzer beater that made ESPN's Sportscenter.
But The Patriots were just not able to stop their momentum Tuesday. New Rochelle took down Binghamton 67-48. Joe Clarke for New Rochelle checked in as the high scorer with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. They'll head to the quarterfinals Saturday, to face Kingston High School. Meanwhile in section 4 we've still got Maine-Endwell in the mix in Class A.
