High pressure will dominate the northeast region through Wednesday afternoon and Thursday. Temperatures cool during the morning hours will rise nicely under sunnier skies into the 70s each day. Dry weather will prevail through the duration of the middle and late week, with ample sunshine.

Winds from the southwest are forecast to develop through Friday and the weekend. As we kick of the first day of summer Friday morning, temperatures will rise nicely into the lower 80s by afternoon. Middle to upper 80s will make it feel hot this upcoming weekend. A few showers or thunderstorm may develop Sunday afternoon.

Hot weather is forecast to continue early next week as some very “southeast-like” air stagnates around the Southern Tier of N.Y.S and N. Tier of PA. Highs early next will climb very close to 90 degrees. Pop-up thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon hours.
