Noticeably colder weather is here! Temperatures, which were balmy over the past few days, have long departed the region. Goodbye near 90 degree warmth! We barely have 50 degrees in our sites through Friday afternoon. Breezes and damp feeling conditions have not helped much at all. Don’t worry though change will return into the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.

High pressure will slide south and southeast out of Canada for Saturday. Skies will show more sun, and daytime conditions will be milder. Forecast highs through Saturday afternoon are expected to range into the 63-67 ballpark, which will also be the case again Sunday. Breezes will remain active through the duration of our weekend outlook.

At night it’s going to be chilly! Numbers are forecast into the 30s Friday night through Saturday and Sunday morning, but active winds during the night should keep our frost potential at a minimum. However, Sunday night as winds settle through Memorial Day morning there is a chance for some frost in our deepest valleys. If winds settle Saturday into Sunday morning the chance will stand as well. If you’ve tried to start the growing season please plan accordingly to protect and tender plant life.

Through Memorial Day weather conditions will turn quite nice. Ample amounts of sunshine are forecast, and our weather will turn nice and mild through the day. Highs Monday are forecast into the middle 70s! Warmer weather is expected to follow into the middle and later part of next week as summer-time like warmth develops.
