Checking a moving company's references

To check a moving company's references, you can ask the company for a list of references from satisfied customers. Contact several of those customers and ask them which of the company's services they used, what they felt was the most beneficial, and what, if anything, could have been improved upon. You can also contact the Better Business Bureau to see if any complaints have been filed against the company. And don't underestimate the value of friends' and coworker's opinions. Ask them if they know of a good moving company, and why they like and would recommend it. Finally, don't be afraid to ask the moving company themselves what their expertise is, and what types of moves they handle best and most frequently.
