Ingredients4 1/2 c. cold water or half water / half sparkling water
2 3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. fresh lime juice (about 10 limes)
1 c. fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
ice cubes
1 lime for garnish
1 lemon for garnish
Directions
In a 2-quart sauce pan, heat sugar and water to boiling over high heat (making simple syrup). Stir occasionally. Remove from heat.
Stir juices into syrup. Pour into large pitcher; cover and refrigerate until cold. Add ice and stir in lime and lemon slices.
Makes 8 cups.
