The CEO of Boscov's is being recognized for his life's work in the department store industry.
83 year-old Al Boscov is the first person to be inducted into the Pennsylvania Retailer's Hall of Fame. His father founded the first store in Reading, PA back in 1911. The chain now has 40 locations in 5 states, including one in downtown Binghamton. Boscov was honored at an awards ceremony yesterday evening co-chaired by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett and former governors Ed Rendell and Tom Ridge.
