A Pennsylvania health company has received a $1 million grant to study possible health impacts of natural gas drilling.

Guthrie Health, based in Sayre, Geisinger Health Systems of Danville and Susquehanna Health will all work together on the fracking study. The money is coming from the Degenstein Foundation. The goal is to look at detailed health histories of hundreds of thousands of patients who live near wells and other facilities producing natural gas from the Marcellus Shale in Pennsylvania.
