Investigators are looking for the public's help in piecing together the recent history of a Walton woman and the two men she's suspected of killing.
New York State Police say 48 year-old Debra Sundstrom, who lived here on South River Road, is the chief suspect in the homicides of her husband Randy and boyfriend Dominick Bosco. Last Friday, police using cadaver dogs found the remains of Randy Sundstrom in a sealed barrel behind their home. They believe he was last seen alive in February 2010. However, no one had reported him missing over the past 3 years. Police don't believe Debra had accomplices, but they want to know for sure.
Lt. Erik Dauber says, "We're trying to develop a timeline. We'd like to be able to nail down the last time these people were seen. Especially Randy Sundstrom because it's been some time."
The investigation began when police went to arrest Debra last week on an outstanding larceny warrant and received a tip that she was staying at the seasonal residence on John Lockwood Road that belonged to a Bosco relative. Police say she set a fire and then killed herself with a gunshot to the head when law enforcement arrived. After the fire was extinguished, investigators found Bosco's body in the basement although they say he had already been dead for several days prior to the fire. Police believe Debra's relationship with Bosco began after Randy's disappearance.
