Citizen Action says big corporations aren't paying their fair share of taxes.

The organization is hoping to convince Congress that if tax loopholes are closed, trillions of dollars could be brought into the federal government. In turn, Citizen Action says the additional revenue could be used to eliminate the sequester cuts and prevent future reductions.  Citizen Action says a new report by Citizens for Tax Justice highlights the issue and how loophole reform would help people who need it most.

Mary Clark says, "Right now Congress is in serious budget negotiations and there's a variety of proposals on the table. What we're suggesting is that we should really protect our seniors, children and working families and end tax loopholes that allow us to offshore profits."

The tax justice report can be seen at ctj.org.
