Local comic strip authors will also be signing their new book as part of the First Friday Art Walk.
Brothers Mason and Mick Masttroianni will be at RiverRead Books from 6 until 9 pm with copies of their new book Fresh Fish. It's a collection of the first 150 days of their comic The Dogs of C-Kennel. The brothers are better known locally for carrying on the comic strips B.C. and The Wizard of Id, which were created by their grandfather, Johnny Hart.
Mason Mastroianni says,"It feels like we've worked together our whole lives, really it's been about 6 years, but this strip is a true collaboration because it's completely his writing, it's completely my drawing, we have a lot of freedom. I always compare it to eating dessert after the meal that is drawing B.C."
Mick Mastroianni says, "Yeah it's fun working with your family. It would be a great reality show. American Choppers just without the handlebar mustaches."
'The Dogs' comic currently appears in 20 newspapers. The brothers say they would love to have it run in the Press and Sun-Bulletin as well.
