A local six year old girl has donated her life savings to help rescued horses in North Dakota.
Madison Georgia heard about a farm where 99 horses were found dead and a hundred more were sick and starving. She decided to donate 177 dollars, money that she had received from the tooth fairy and from her birthday, to the 4-H Rescue Facility that saved the horses. Madison's mother says that her daughter is a strong willed animal lover who wanted to do the right thing.
Madison Georgia says, "Well I wanted to buy a dolphin and an elephant, but I changed my mind to save the horses because they're so poor."
Chelle Frost says, "It's really good to know that I have a six year old with that much common sense and good will in her heart. And it also speaks volumes for if something is happening that far away in North Dakota that is that upsetting and wrong to a six year old all the way in New York that they're willing to take that measure to fix it, then something's definitely got to change."
Madison's act was part of the Random Acts of Kindness month that was being taught by her teacher at Chenango Forks Elementary School.
