Greek Peak is preparing for an influx of visitors as the busy President's Week vacation approaches.
The ski resort is still enjoying the after affects of 10 inches of snow that fell a week ago, leading to big crowds last weekend. With many Central New York schools being off next week, Greek will open an hour early each day at 8:30. Currently al of its snowmaking trails are open with a base depth ranging from 18 to 42 inches.
VP of Operations Wes Kryger says a lot of groups are lined up to visit. "We have tubing groups, adventure center groups, water park groups. We have a resort day pass where you can experience the entire resort, skiing, water park, tubing, zip lines."
Kryger says colder temperatures this weekend will allow the resort to make even more snow. He hopes they build up enough of a base to last through one more school holiday, Easter at the end of March.
