Students at the MacArthur Intermediate School acted out 2 of their favorite books Thursday.

The school's Literacy Club put on productions based on "A Bad Case of the Stripes!" and "The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything."

Cora Layton played the lead role of Camilla. She says she likes to read books about mystery and adventure. "I like to play outside a lot and I like nature, so I like to read about them too."

The Literacy Club meets once every 6 days at lunch time under the direction of Librarian Lonna Pierce.
