Broome County has secured a $200,000 grant to help businesses.
It's meant to help new companies start-up and existing businesses to expand. The Broome County Microenterprise Program will award grants ranging from $5,000 to $35,000. Businesses are required to contribute a minimum 10% owner equity into the project. For more information, call the Broome County Economic Development Department at 778-2114. Businesses in the City of Binghamton and Town of Union are not eligible to apply because of federal regulations.
