Republican Congressman Tom Reed is part of an effort in the House of Representatives to make the tax code easier to understand.
Reed has been named to four working groups of the Ways and Means Committee on tax reform. The committee is looking to make it easier for small businesses and families to follow tax laws. The Energy, Manufacturing, Real Estate, and Education and Family Benefits working groups will review the current laws and receive feedback from the general public as well as stakeholders and academics.
