City Council President Teri Rennia made official on Thursday what she had already indicated she was considering. She will be a Democratic candidate for Binghamton Mayor.
Rennia first announced her interest in the seat back in January. She officially declared this afternoon at an event inside the Grand Royale Hotel which was once City Hall. She also held a reception for supporters and starting collecting donations to her campaign. Rennia has 3 children, one in elementary, one in middle school, and one in high school and she is the President of Enviren Services which she co-owns with her husband. Current Mayor Matt Ryan cannot run again this November because of term limits.
