Thursday was the 3rd day of Binghamton Restaurant Week and diners are getting a taste of all the diverse cuisines the area has to offer.
Taste of Europe, located on Court Street in Binghamton, features traditional Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian dishes. For a $10 lunch they are offering a choice of borscht or toscana soups to start, potato pancakes, pierogies, or holupki with mushroom gravy. For dessert there is a choice between cheese crepes or cake.
Owner Igor Shelestovsky says that people who try his food for the first time leave happy. "We are trying to introduce other foods that is different from what people have here. And how it's prepared, it's slow process food so it's better for everybody, that kind of food."
Taste of Europe is also serving dinner for $20. They are open Mondays through Saturdays from 11 through dinner. For a list of other eateries, visit
