While he still hasn't made it official, local businessman Rich David is taking another step toward campaigning for Mayor.
The former Deputy Mayor of Binghamton is holding a fundraiser next week at Terra Cotta, the banquet hall on State Street that he co-owns. The Republican has launched a website called Rich David for Mayor dot com and a Facebook page as well. He tells NewsChannel 34 that he won't be commenting to the media about the campaign until the evening of his event. It takes place Thursday, February 28th starting at 5:30 pm at Terra Cotta. Tickets are $20 per person and $35 for a couple and can be purchased at the door.
