A couple people known to local music lovers are putting on a benefit Saturday to help a friend who's going through a difficult time.
Singer-songwriter Lukus Wells and deejay Lori of Mix 103.3 are hosting an event to raise money for Danielle Snyder. Snyder's fiance recently died unexpectedly leaving her to care for 2 young children and find new housing.
Wells says he felt compelled to assist a friend who's helped him in the past. "I have not had one single business that we've asked deny us for any donation. As well as posting it on Facebook. A lot of her friends came forward with donations for the silent auction as well. Just a lot of support."
The benefit runs from 5:30 to 7:30 Saturday in the Violet Room of the Lost Dog Café in Binghamton. Wells will play two sets and there's a silent auction. A $5 minimum donation is requested at the door. More info at
