Nearly one thousand turkeys arrived at the Food Bank of the Southern Tier this morning.
Food Bank officials are calling this the largest donation of turkeys the organization has ever seen.
The food bank bought the turkeys with a 10-thousand dollar donation from Tioga Downs Racino.
"Usually the turkey donation is up to the member agencies. This is the first time we've had this kind of donation where we are bringing the turkeys to member agencies at no cost."
The turkeys have already been allocated to the nearly 200 food pantries that the food bank serves.
