Vestal Central Schools will induct a victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting into its Hall of Fame this year.
Mary Greene Sherlach, class of 1974, worked as the Sandy Hook school psychologist. On December 14th, she was killed when she and the principal rushed the shooter in an effort to protect their students. She is being posthumously inducted into the hall of fame in honor of her lifelong dedication to serving children. The ceremony is scheduled for May 30th at Vestal High School.
