Tomorrow is also a day to raise awareness of heart disease among women.
It's the American Heart Association's Wear Red Day.
Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo and members of her staff joined the Heart Association today to promote the cause.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women in this country, out-numbering the next five causes combined.
Lupardo's executive assistant, Gloria Poff, underwent quadruple bypass surgery two years ago.
She says that despite eating well and exercising, her heredity put her at risk.
Gloria Poff says, "If I had known that I was a candidate, I thought that just by taking care of myself that was going to be enough. But, obviously, that was not enough. People should just keep checks on themselves."
National Wear Red Day has been in existence since 2004.
