BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Police say the man whose body was found inside a burning car in Buffalo was the same person who survived a shooting last month in a suburban town.
Authorities say 34-year-old Shawn Wilson of Buffalo was shot and stabbed before his body was put in the car and the vehicle was set on fire early Wednesday morning. Firefighters found the body when they arrived to put out the blaze.
Police say Wilson was wounded in a shooting Sept. 19 in nearby Amherst. Authorities say that incident remains under investigation.
