Recap: Seattle vs. Cleveland
Peoria, AZ (Sports Network) - Cord Phelps and Jason Giambi hit back-to-back home runs in the third inning to help the Cleveland Indians down the Seattle Mariners, 10-5, on Saturday in spring training action.
Tyler Naquin recorded two RBI and scored once, while Ezequiel Carrera, Jose Ramirez and Francisco Lindor each added an RBI and a run scored for the Indians.
Cleveland starter Scott Kazmir was tagged for five runs on 13 hits over five frames.
Raul Ibanez belted a two-run homer and finished with three RBI, while Justin Smoak smacked three hits and also knocked in a run for the Mariners.
Seattle starter Blake Beavan surrendered nine runs -- eight earned -- on 16 hits in 5 1/3 innings.
