Denver, CO (Sports Network) - The Colorado Rockies and pitcher Jhoulys Chacin avoided arbitration with a two-year contract.

The deal is reportedly worth $6.5 million.

Chacin went 3-5 with a 4.43 ERA in 14 starts for Colorado last season. He missed a large chunk of the year due to a nerve issue on the right side of his chest.

In 82 career games (67 starts) for the Rockies, Chacin is 23-31 with a 3.68 ERA.
