Donovan McNabb threw for 240 yards and
three touchdowns on 17-of-23 efficiency to lead the Philadelphia Eagles in a
40-17 rout of the bitter-rival New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field.
LeSean McCoy totaled 82 yards and a score on 11 carries for the Eagles (5-2),
who had three scoring plays of 40-plus yards despite playing without the
injured Brian Westbrook. Leonard Weaver ran for 75 yards and a score on eight
attempts, while Jeremy Maclin had a TD grab.
DeSean Jackson had 78 yards and a touchdown on three receptions and Brent
Celek added a TD catch for Philadelphia, which earned its second straight win
and fourth in five tries. The Eagles moved ahead of the Giants into first
place in the NFC East, tied with Dallas. The Cowboys visit Philadelphia next
Sunday night.
Eli Manning was a pedestrian 20-of-39 for 222 yards with a touchdown and two
interceptions for the Giants (5-3), who lost their third straight game after
starting the season with five consecutive wins. Kevin Boss was the leading
receiver for New York with 70 yards and a score on three catches. Ahmad
Bradshaw had a rushing touchdown in the setback.
