Foxborough, MA (Sports Network) - New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez may miss his third straight game on Sunday with a sore ankle when the Patriots host the Indianapolis Colts.

According to multiple reports, the third-year standout will miss his sixth game of the season with a low ankle sprain.

Hernandez was limited in practice all week with the lingering injury he suffered in Week 2, but the Patriots have deemed the fourth-round pick questionable on their final injury report.

Wide receiver Wes Welker (ankle) and guard Dan Connolly (back) returned to practice on Friday after missing the past two sessions.

Both players joined Hernandez as questionable, along with 13 other Patriots, including tight end Rob Gronkowski (hip), safety Patrick Chung (shoulder) and linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee).

Guard Logan Mankins (ankle/calf) did not practice all week and is officially listed as doubtful.
