25th Anniversary Commemoration of the Halabja Genocide

From the American Kurdish Council:

On March 16, 1988 Saddam Hussein's regime murdered 5000 Kurdish civilians and injured thousands more by using poisonous gas on the people of Halabja, Kurdistan.

To commemorate all the lives lost that day, the American Kurdish Council will hold a remembrance of the tragic genocide at Binghamton University. Our guest speaker will be Diane King, an anthropology professor from the University of Kentucky.

We invite you to this commemoration on March 15 at Binghamton University's Mountainview Hall - Appalachain Rm. 111 from 3-5.
